- PCs are mostly in agreement that Arvid can’t be allowed to continue
- Violet would love to get answers and more information about Belashyrra. Others, LLOD-IV in particular, are not of the mind to get into much of a conversation

Arrive at the entrance to the Arboretum
- PCs have no chance of sneaking up on Arvid and are noticed right away by him and his thralls: Sir Braford & Sharwyn
- A brief conversation is had and Arvid claims he is taking care of the Gulthias Tree to stop the vampire Gulthias from being released. A reveal of his journal puts that charade to rest
- Erki meekly talks to his brother and then runs back to the airship
- LLOD-IV fires a crossbow bolt at Arvid kicking things off.
- Notice a khoravar chained to the Gulthias Tree, partially absorbed. Holly & Cyn recognize this as Teresiel, a botanist that The Delegation picked up in Wynarn Latheer

The battle
- LLOD-IV beelines it for Arvid with a rage that is unlike her
- Cyn creates a giant area of painful blackberry bushes around Arvid and some of his minions (that LLOD-IV has to wade through to get him…sorry!)
- Torrych & Cyn are caught in a powerful Moonbeam spell cast by Arvid. Cyn is revealed as a changeling. Near death, small mushrooms burst from his skin shrouding him in a mist of spores. He doesn’t realize until looked at strangely by Violet then quickly leaves the battlefield, returning shortly afterward as himself again
- LLOD-IV kills Arvid and smashes him repeatedly in her anger, disgusted that a Gatekeeper would turn to such evil
- Sir Braford is slain after breaking Holly’s longbow & LLOD-IV’s longsword with his adamantine sword
- Violet hits the Gulthias Tree with a spell, which then begins to attack the PCs with its roots
- Holly rescues Teresiel and chops down the Gulthias Tree with her greataxe
- Sharwyn falls to the ground and rots away to nothing, along with the body of Sir Braford and the remainder of the tree
- A vampire emerges from beneath the tree, presumably Gulthias, who turns invisible and escapes

The escape
- As the Gulthias Tree quickly rots away, the Sunken Citadel begins to shake and water begins to quickly rise
- The PCs quickly loot what they can from the bodies, including the air elemental gem for Erki’s airship
- The water is very rising quickly forcing everyone to swim in a panic to try and get to Erki’s airship
- They are harassed by a shambling mound (the cutest one ever) and a bunch of piranhas (not so cute) but are able to escape to the tower and board the airship, with a little help from Glubnub & the Bullywug Tribe
- Violet is able to figure out how to get the gem working and everyone finally escapes the Sunken Citadel which disappears below the water…
